On Stage: Doubt (Steel Beam Theatre)

Opening this weekend at the award-winning Steel Beam Theatre in St. Charles is Doubt, a play that
explores fascinating issues of certainty and doubt in a Bronx Catholic school, and examines in great detail the dynamic between the central characters: Sister James, a young teacher; Sister Aloysius, her older and more worldly-wise principal, and Father Flynn, a young parish priest.

The Voice has only attended one show at the Steel Beam, a delightful children's production of Winnie the Pooh. The 80-seat space in the heart of downtown St. Charles is a very intimate setting to watch local actors plying their craft.

Doubt runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from January 9 until Febuary 8. A question and answer session follows the performance this Sunday, January 11.
